January 13, 2010. Filipino Pride was featured in the December 2009 Bookshelf of Our Own Voice (OOV), an online literary e-zine that provides an outlet for the creative expressions of the Filipino diaspora community. The book was featured along with other noteworthy works written by Filipinos based abroad, such as that of Towards Filipino Self-Determination by E. San Juan, Jr., Nota Bene Eiswein by Eileen R. Tabio and Ating Kalagayan: The Social and Economic Profile of U.S. Filipinos by Peter Chua, among others.

OOV was the recipient of the 2005 Calatagan Award for Online E-Zine conferred by the Philippine American Writers and Artists, Inc. and the 2001 Writer's Digest National Zine Publishing Award.
